Stop Ignoring These 5 Inspiring Truths

The truth is always out there. Sometimes we wink at it and sometimes we just close our eye. But sooner or later we accept it. The whole deal is how sooner!

I have had many clients who would not accept the truth in the first meeting. By the time they would meet me for the third time, the bubble would have bursted and how. The truth is always out there. Just that we shy away from it. Sometimes we shy our own self and more often that not, we shy off the consequences. Well, the consequences surface out whether we like it or not. And then we tell ourselves, our dear self to have handled it better at the first go. Aah but the time cannot reverse. So here we go with 5 inspiring truths that we should not ignore for the times to come.

Stop Ignoring These 5 Inspiring Truths and listen to yourself

1. That failure was meant to be

You knew it when you saw the signs but you chose to ignore them. It’s fine. We all do it. I have done it too. A failed startup, project or relationship does not define you but what defines is our reaction to it. Some cry endlessly and label themselves as failures and some take it as a lesson. By adjusting your vision and seeing the lesson and the big picture, you can learn more and move on with grace and clarity. Choose to be the wiser one.

2. Your community needs to be right

We are a sum total of 5 people we spend our maximum time with. Make a wise decision here. Well, you can’t change your family but you can certainly work on your friend and support group. If you really want to amplify your life, surround yourself with people who motivate you, push you or are pursuing the same things as you. Together, you will grow, learn and reach your goals. You can lean on and get through tough times with the right support structure.

3. Consistency is the key

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

Calvin Coolidge

Do I need to write more? Ok, I’ll give my 2 cents. You can’t build Rome in a day and you can’t shed 5 kgs in 5 days. You have to work everyday, day by day to achieve your goals. An hour of gym or even half an hour of exercise will help you shed weight in the long run. With me?

4. You have to love the journey and live it everyday

Hitting a century in the game of cricket requires you to love the sun and the shine, the rain and the cold, the dusk and the dawn. And then one day, one find day you’ll hit the century. And then there won’t be any looking back.

You have to love every aspect of your journey and enjoy it to reach the final destination. If you will keep looking only at the end, you’ll fall at every puddle. Have fun on the way.

5. Compare the Yester- YOU with the Present YOU

You are unique and so is your journey. Do not compare yourself with others and get rid of the joy in your life. Every person walks his path. You can certainly get motivated from others but do not get into the comparison mode. Focus on bettering yourself and your journey.

Everything will reveal with time. Work on your goals and achieve them one by one. Self-development is a lifelong journey. It is ongoing and forever. Prioritise well and take it easy. Say no to things that hinder your improvement. Finishing off the task is important.

Sometimes we need to slow down in life and focus on what we really want. Rest can wait.
